The iPhone 6 something wrong! It dropped in to water before, and then we want to turn it off, but it is tenacious, the iPhone 6 is automatically restarted and got the fruzzy screen. Now, we need to find the problem and fix it.
First, disassemble the iPhone with phone opening tools, and then remove
the battery, we can found that there
still have some water in it and waterproof label is discolored, as shown in
picture 6-65.
Second, cleaning the water, and observe
motherboard, we found that the area around the screw hole at the corner of motherboard is eroded, as shown in picture
6-66.
Third, tear down the shield cover and find that one end of resistor
has white tin while the other turns black, which is obviously eroded, as shown
in picture 6-67. Checking the bitmap, I know that the number of this resistor
is R0706, as shown in picture 6-68.
Finally, open schematic diagram and search R0706 to find its location, as shown in
picture 6-69. It is a 1kΩ pull-up resistor starting from CPU to front camera’s
I2C bus clock signal. Remove the resistor from the same place at accessories
pad and solder it on the faulty motherboard. Then turn it on and test it, all
is fine, the iPhone 6 back to normal.
Tips:
If this kind of I2C resistor is damaged, it
will lead to root error report and turn on failure. Please be careful during
the repair process.
