SOLVED: iPhone 6 Plus slide function and touch function unavailable

Have your iPhone 6 Plus screen got frozen, and won't respond to touch? Don't worry, here are some guides for fix it.

1. Power on and test it, iPhone 6 Plus has no response when slide on screen. the touch function is lost and cannot be activated.

2. Disassemble the iPhone with phone opening tools, and remove the motherboard, finding there are weld marks on NAND Flash, as shown in picture 1-1.
1-1

3. Based on experience, we know disconnection of pin M1 of touch process chip will cause such problems. Pin M1’s location is shown in picture 1-2.
1-2

4. The signal name of pin M1 of touch process chip is LCM_TO_AP_HIFA_BSYNC. Chinese name is synchronizing signal of LCD screen and touch communication. The circuit diagram of pin M1 of touch process chip is shown in picture 1-3.
1-3

5. If LCD screen and touch process chip cannot communicate synchronously, the touch screen definitely cannot be used. After fixing the solder pin of M1, assemble touch process chip and then power on. The touch function recovers. Activate it and enter system to test. The iPhone shows blurred screen. Reboot it and it crashes when the progress bar is going to show, as shown in picture 1-4.

6. CPU or NAND Flash faults will cause such problems. As the iPhone has been welded before, the NAND Flash has greater chance to have faults. Reinstall the NAND Flash to exclude the possibility of NAND Flash pseudo soldering. But the problem is still the same. Finally, replace the NAND Flash and root to test. It becomes normal. The damaged NAND Flash is shown in picture 1-5.

Finally, the problem has been removed and the iPhone 6 Plus can back to normal work.

How to fix iPhone 6 touch screen completely unresponsive

Have you ever met when you touch the iPhone 6 screen , but it is entirely no response, just like frozen. It cause big problems on your daily life, but you have no idea what to do. Don't worry it, Vipprogtell you what to do

First, power on the iPhone and test it, finding the touch function is completely lost. After replacing a display screen, the result is the same. Remove the motherboard and observe, finding little soldering paste around touch process chip, which suggests touch control chip and touch process chip have been welded, as shown in picture 1-1.
1-1

Then,  using the multimeter to measure the diode data of two ends of coupling capacitor (picture 1-2) that is used to communicate between touch control chip and touch process chip. The data is normal. One end of coupling capacitor near touch control chip is connected to touch control chip, while the other end of coupling capacitor near touch process chip is connected to touch process chip.

1-2

Next, measure the power supply voltage of PN5V7_SAGE_AVDDH, PP5V7_SAGE_AVDDH, PP5V1_GRAPE_VDDH and PP1V8_GRAPE. The relevant circuit diagram is shown in picture 1-3 and 1-4.And we can found that touch control chip ‘s PP5V1_GRAPE_VDDH and PP1V8_GRAPE have no voltage, which suggests there is abnormal communication between CPU and touch control chip. Generally, the damage of touch control chip or abnormal weld and the SPI bus, clock and reset between touch control chip and CPU. Measuring points are the yellow points shown in picture 1-5.

1-5

After measuring, the diode data of these points is normal, so there is no problem in communication bus circuit between CPU and touch control chip. Then power on again to test the 32kHz crystal oscillator, finding no voltage. If 32kHz crystal oscillator is normal, there should be 0.9v voltage. The pins of 32kHz crystal oscillator are shown in picture 1-6.
1-6

The material object is shown in picture 1-7.
1-7

The function of 32kHz crystal oscillator is to send its frequency to main power chip. Then main power chip sends its clock signal to CPU. After receiving the clock signal from main power chip, CPU sends it to touch control chip clock signal. Find the clock pin of touch control chip and measure the diode data. The data is normal. Therefore, CPU has no problem. The damage of 32kHz crystal oscillator and the faulty chips that use 32kHz clock will cause the abnormal of 32 kHz clock, especially the Wi-Fi parts. The Wi-Fi chip’s material object is shown in picture 1-8.
1-8

Finally, replace crystal oscillator and power chip first, finding the problem is still the same. Then remove WiFi chip and measure. Now the 32 kHz clock has 0.9v voltage. After assemble touch control chip, the touch function becomes normal. The iPhone 6 can back to normal work.

Solution: iPhone 6 overheating and high battery consumption

Recently, there are some people complain that iPhone 6 has high electricity consumption and high temperature when charged and used.  It displays horizontal direction of pictures while viewing pictures occasionally. It really make them frustrated. So, Vipprog wrote a repair guide on this issue.

First, Connect iPhone to DC power and enter system after power on. Then test it under the state of screen off. The working current keeps about 250mA, as shown in picture 1-1. That working current keeps about 250mA is abnormal.
1-1

Then, continue to test every function and find the compass cannot be used, as shown in picture 1-2.
1-2

Third, remove the motherboard and use multimeter to measure the power supply diode data of compass chip, finding PP3V0_IMU is short circuit, as shown in picture 1-3.
1-3
Analyze when contrast the situation with circuit diagram and find there are several filter capacitors on the circuit of PP3V0_IMU voltage. As to this kind of problem, first we exclude the capacitors, so remove these capacitors one by one. After removing capacitor C1902 (picture 1-4), the voltage of PP3V0_IMU becomes normal. The circuit diagram of C1902 is shown in picture 1-5.

1-5

Finally, Find a same capacitor on fitting material pad to replace the old one and turn on to test. The working current under the state of screen off becomes normal, as shown in picture 1-6.
1-6

And then test compass function in the system again and everything becomes normal, as shown in picture 1-7. The iPhone 6 can back to normal work.

Why iPhone 6s can't be turned on when dropped it

The present situation is iPhone 6s cannot be turned on after dropping. Does it make you crazy, because it will make your daily work get into mess. Don't worry, let's see what's going on your phone

Firstly, connect motherboard to DC powerand it shows no current. The motherboard has no marks of short circuit. Short connect the power on pin and it shows high current, which suggests that there is short circuit on some voltage of open circuit.

Secondly, using the multimeter to measure the diode data of each power supply on the motherboard and find the diode data of PP_CPU voltage is 0.002. Obviously it is too small, as shown in picture .

Then, as many components are connected to PP_CPU voltage, it will take a long time to exclude one by one. So we put rosin on the surface of each component evenly. Short connect power on pin and find the rosin on capacitor C2006 beside CPU melts fastest.

Finally, Remove capacitor C2006 directly and measure the diode data of PP_CPU voltage.
Now the data becomes normal. After connecting display screen, this iPhone can be turned on normally, as shown in picture . The iPhone 6s can work again and you will found that your mood back to pleasure and the life getting better.
