iPhone 6S rear camera failure with PCB repairing solution

Here is an iPhone 6S with rear camera failure problem, this iPhone rear camera is damaged by water, so we need to check iPhone hardware aspect to fix it. Here we can get an PCB repairing solution.

1. Disassemble the iPhone 6S.

Use screwdrivers to remove the screws at the bottom of the screen, and then put iPhone screen on the CPB screen separator for heating. After heating a while, we can use LCD sucker to open the iPhone screen.

2. Replace the iPhone rear camera.

Remove the iPhone display screen, becuase it's the iPhone camera problem, so we try to fix it by replacing the new iPhone camera.

Remove the iPhone rear camera, and then install a new camera.  Assemble the iPhone 6S, and test the camera function, unfortunately, the iPhone 6S rear camera still doesn't work.

3. Remove the iPhone motherboard

So is it the iPhone motherboard problem? we need to remove the iPhone motherboard to check it.

Use phone opening tools to disassemble the iPhone 6S, remove the iPhone display assembly, disconnect the iPhone battery, and then remove the iPhone motherboard.

4. Repair the iPhone motherboard.

Put iPhone motherboard under the microscope to observe, we found the power supply 2.85V tube of iPhone rear camera has been burned, use tweezers to remove the 2.85V tube directly

Login to the ZXW online account to check iPhone schematic diagram,  we know that this IC is converted from the main power supply VCC_MAIN to 2.85V for iPhone rear camera

After removing this chip, we found the main power supply pin has been burned Because this IC is too small, it's difficult to replace, and soldering a jumper wire by QUICK 861DW hot air rework station also is not good, so we are going to borrow 3V voltage.

As we know, there is a 3V test point on the iPhone motherboard, use digital multimeter to measure it, so we can find out this 3V test point.

Soldering a jumper wire from the 3V test point by QUICK TS1200A, apply some green UV oil on it.

5. Assemble the iPhone and test it.

Assemble the iPhone 6S, press the power button, it's turned on smoothly. After entering the IOS system, test the camera function, now the iPhone rear camera is working properly. The repairs ended!
