Summary: the solutions for iPhone 7 camera unavailable cases

The iPhone 7 camera unavailable, such as the iPhone camera won't turn on, can't take photos, can't save photos, ect. Here are solutions for repairing iPhone 7 camera common issues.


Check iPhone 6 camera circuit diagram on WUXINJI Dongle, we need to measure some power supply circuits with multimeter, the PP1V8_UT (1.8V), PP3V0_UT_SVDD (3.0V) can be measured easily after iPhone was turned on. However, there are there are three power supply circuits only can be measured under the good camera situation,  they were PP2V8_UT_AF (2.8V), PP2V9_UT_AVDD(2.9V) and PP1V2_UT_VDD (1.2V).

The PP2V9_UT_AVDD circuit power supply is provided by the U2501, the U2501 is very easy to cause iPhone camera working abnormally. The best solution is to take the U2501 off and short connect by jumper wire to solve the problem.

PP3V0_UT_SVDD (3.0V), PP2V8_UT_AF (2.8), VPP1V2_UT_VDD (1.2V) is sent to the camera interface J4501 respectively through inductance FL2500 FL2502 FL2505 FL2506. These inductors are easy to damage, resulting in failure to take photos. First, measure the resistance of the 5 circuit of power supply to the ground, exclude the failures of broken circuit or short circuit. Check FL2500 FL2502 FL2505 FL2506, use PPD 861D Plus hot air rework station  to  short connect  jump wire on U2501.

After finish this step, install the iPhone to test, if the iPhone 7 camera still unavailable, you can you can erase all the data and activate it again.

Finally, iPhone 7 camera can be used normmally. Continue to test other functions, to check whether everythind works well.

Apple iPhone 6 won't turn on (dead) -- what to do?


Apple iPhone 6 won't turn on,  it is dead.  So sad for the users, becasue they can't use it if the iPhone won't turn on.  However,  perhaps your iPhone 6 still can be saved, what to do?

iPhone Motherboard Short circuit


1.  There is a short circuit issue on PP_BATT_VCC or PP_VCC_MAIN

First measure  the diod data of  PP_BATT_VCC or PP_VCC_MAIN with multimeter, it's abnormal.  Then use rosin method to find the specific short-circuit position. After find the short circuit capacitor, you can remove it by Precision Titanium Tweezers.

2. There is short circuit on output voltage of power IC

Respectively measure each output of the bypass capacitance measurement resistance, find the short circuit parts.  And then use rosin methods to find the specific short-circuit position.After find int, remove it by tweezers.

Damaged IC


1.  if  the USB control IC is damaged, it will cause iPhone 6 stuck on White Apple logo and won't turn on.  Measure the iPhone USB control IC, if it is damaged,  you can replace the new one.

2. if the compass IC is damaged, it will cause iPhone reports unknown error 4013 and won't turn on. After measurement, you can replace it the new one.

3. If the iPhone Nand flash is damaged, it will cause iPhone blue or red screen and then auto restart. After measurement, you can use weld the U0301 first, if not working, then you can re-install or replace the iPhone NAND flash.

4. If the CPU is damaged, it will cause iPhone stuck on 100mA and won't turn on.  Connect iPhone to PC, if it can't identify the hardware, which means CPU not working, re-install or replace U1202; if it can indentify the hardware, try to flash it with iTunes, if the it reports iTunes error 4005/4014/14/40, then basically it is CPU  or iPhone Nand flash error, you can re-install or replace it.

Why iPhone 6 can't recognize fingerprint? -- Got fix here!

When i press the iPhone home button with my finger, it doesn't work,  my iPhone 6 still won't be unlocked! What's going on? If iPhone touch ID failed to work, then this iPhone 6 lost its fun. Actually,  the iPhone 6 doesn't recognize fingerprint is a common thing, but luckily,  you can get fix here!


Generally, the water damaged will cause iPhone fingerprint not working issue. Water can easily corrode components inside the iPhone. The following are some cases.

Case 1:  Inductor 1500 easily corroded damage caused by water damage, which will cause U1503 cannot work normally, it's necessary to replace if the inductor gets damaged.

Case 2: Since the small glass U1503 IC voltage value is 3.7V  (VCC_MAIN) when iPhone is not booting and it has high voltage output value 16.5V when working, so if the IC gets water in, it would very easy to be damaged or short, which not only cause the fingerprint recognition failure but also cause leakage or high current when connecting with Rigol DP832 DP832A KORAD KD3005D DC power supply.

Case 3: The HOME button signal passes through the 3 tracks of the interface J2118 and then passes R2160 to iPhone 6 CPU. Here we should notice that the resistance R2160 is easy to corrode and causes the HOME button unresponsive, it can be short connected by jumper wire to solve.

If iPhone 6 fails to open fingerprint, first you need to use Fluke 15B+ Digital Multimeter to test whether the above mentioned voltage are normal, if several voltage are normal, then test  if there is the situation of no voltage on iPhone 6 base, check if the corresponding resistance or inductance circuit get corroded or broken!

For the fingerprint part, there are several voltage to note, one circuit is 16.5V sent from iPhone Light Control IC U1503 and through the FL2156 to J2118 interface, if the voltage is abnormal, it will cause the fingerprint function can be opened, but adding fingerprint HOME button has no reaction, The corrosion or damage of FL2156 will cause 16.5V not able to reach, resulting fingerprint has no reaction when adding fingerprint, short connection will solve the problem!

One circuit is U2100 output 1.8V voltage through FL2133 to the interface J2118, U2100 and FL2133 are easy to damage, it can be borrowed from another 1.8V voltage by connecting jumper wire to capacitor C2184.

In addition, there is a 3.0V to be sent to the J2118 by FL2119, and FL2119 is easy to corrode and damage the fingerprint identification failure. The abnormal power supply of 1.8V and 3.0V will cause failure to open the fingerprint. These two voltages can be measured at the power on moment. U2100 is easy to damage which will cause the failure to open fingerprint function, short connection with jumper wire by PPD 861D Plus hot air rework station can be used.

Repair Guide: iPhone 6/6 Plus WIFI module failure


Some iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users complained that their iPhone WIFI is unavailable,  such as it can't connect to WIFI or WIFI signal is bad.  This failure is causing them a lot of trouble. If your iPhone doesn't have enough cellulal data, and you can't use WIFI, they you can't use iPhone to surf the internet or you need pay. Trouble cases


1. If the iPhone suffers from water or falling damage, the PP_VCC_MAIN voltage it easy to disconnection and it cannot be reached to WIFI.

2. The resistance R5208_RF is easy to corrode after water damaged and then cause no WIFI issue.
3. Damaged capacitor C5201_RF and inductance L5201 can cause no WIFI and auto reboot failure.

Repair Guide
1. iPhone No WIFI
Carefully disassemble the iPhone by phone opening tools, remove the iPhone motherboard and check it, there are no obviously scars. Measure the C5202_RF with Fluke 15B+ Digital Multimeter to check whether there is 3.8V voltage, if not, use QUICK 861DW hot air gun to weld a jump wire from other side to C5202_RF. Measure the C5204_RF to check whether there is 1.8V, if not, make a short connection on R5208_RF. Check and replace L5201_RF, C5201_RF, replace iPhone module IC.
2. iPhone weak WIFI signal
If the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus can connect with WIFI, but the wifi signal is weak, we need to check iPhone wifi antenna first. You can fix it by replacing filter FL5201_RF, and replace iPhone WIFI module.
3. iPhone auto reboot

When the iPhone has no WIFI, and iPhone is on standby, then you can wake up it anumore.  In this case, you need to  hold the Power button and iPhone home button simultaneously to hard restart it. And you need to fix the damaged iPhone WIFI module IC.

Analysis and solve iPhone camera not working (iPhone 6S rear/front camera)



 The iPhone 6S camera won't take photos or videos, what's going on? There are many reasons to cause this issue. In this article, we will analysis the reasons and then provide the solutions to fix iPhone 6S camera not working error.


Front Camera Repair

If the front camera can not work normally, check the FL3100 FL3102 FL3104 short connection. Re-stall or replace the iPhone  power IC.

In addition, the flash IC damage will also cause failure to take photos or videos. Replace the iPhone 6s flash IC(VC497) can fix the problem.

Rear Camera Repair

 
There are three circuit lines that affect the work of the iPhone camera:

The first circuit is 1.8V from the IC power supply, 1.8V power supply was sent to FL3220 rear camera interface through inductor FL3220, and inductor 3220 is easy to get corrosion damage so that 1.8V is not able to be sent to rear camera interface, use jumper wire to do short connection will solve the problem.

The second circuit power 2.85V is supplied by U3200, the U3200 output voltage 2.85V was sent to rear camera interface through inductor FL3202, the rear camera fault is mostly caused by U3200 damage so that 2.85V is not able to be supplied to rear camera, the 2.85V voltage is not able to be tested by Fluke 15B+ DigitalMultimeter until there is resistance C3200 when taking photos. It's not easy to measure because of narrow place, so we can connect an enameled wire on capacitor C3200 for convenient measurement. Turn on the camera and test it immediately. If it is a good handset, it can measure 2. 85V voltage, if the 2.85V voltage is not measured when the camera is turned on, it indicates that U3200 is damaged. This situation can be also solved by phone repair jumper wire connection.

The third circuit is 1.2V PP1V2_CAMERA from the power supply IC, the 1.2V power supply was sent to rear camera interface J3200 through inductor FL3201, if the voltage is not sent to the iPhone 6s rear camera interface, it is generally caused by FL3201 corrosion, use jumper wire to do short connection will solve the problem.

DIY FIX: iPhone 7/7P leakage and won’t boot issues


In previous iphone repair cases, we often encounter iPhone7 and iPhone 7 Plus leakage or won't boot problem. So, in this article, we are going to share solution for DIY fix it. 


Disassemble the iPhone, remove the motherbaord  and put it under the Trinocular Stereo Microscope to check, and then check iPhone schematic diagram on WUXINJI Dongle,  we can know that the battery voltage VBATT is firstly sent to the iPhone 7 charging IC, it outputs the main power PP_VCC_MAIN and then supply to the power supply IC and other related circuits.

When the iPhone power button is pressed, the IC output voltage of the power supply is supplied to iPhone 7 CPU, NAND and other related circuits respectively. The battery voltage VBATT and the main power supply VCC_MAIN are sent to the relevant circuit before turning on the iPhone 7, in this case, if there is power leakage or large current when connecting with DC power supply, it means that either the battery voltage VBATT or main power fupply PP_VCC_MAIN has short power leakage component. There are plenty of components are connected with these 2 circuit, use rosin will help you to find the damaged one quickly. 


Specific methods are as follows:

1. Measuring the of the grounding resistance of the iPhone 7 battery voltage and the main power supply to find the short-circuited part

2. Use rosin to smoke the iPhone 7 motherboard parts into white color

3. Then add voltage in the short-circuited part, the voltage will gradually increase from zero, after a while, the short-circuited part will heat and rosin will melt, so you will see it immediately.

After find the faulty part, use QUICK  861DW to weld the jimper wire on it, and then measure it again. You will find the problem was solved!

Excellent solution: iPhone 6S Signal Part Fault

Here, we provide a excellent solution for repair iPhone 6S signal part fault. What does the iPhone 6S signal part fault mean?  Thay mean if iPhone signal abnormal, then your iPhone 6s wil show no service or can't make the phone call and so on.   Here are several signal failures cases.

If you input *#06# and see IMEI codes, it means the baseband belongs to normal start, in this case, try to install different SIM card separately, if all the SIM cards you install have no signal, the problem in the public sector, or if IC emission power supply problems, this possibility may be a bit bigger, the iPhone baseband CPU or baseband power may also cause the situation. Replace new parts can solve the signal problem.

Second case,
part of SIM cards have no signal. If there is no signal for part of the SIM card, for example, there is a 4G network but you can't call on the phone. It means that there is a problem in the 2G transmitting part, since the mobile 4G needs to switch to 2G when it calls, which is usually the problem of 2G power amplifier or 2G antenna switch, replace new parts can solve the problem.

How to fix dead iPhone 7 display screen by yourself (black screen)

Today, we are going to fix dead iPhone 7 display screen. The iPhone 7 screen has no display when it is turned on. What causes this?  Let's check it step by step.


1. Carefully disassemble the iPhone 7 and disconnect the battery. Put iPhone connect to DC power supply, the boot current is normal, but the display screen still black.

2. Carefully disassemble the display assembly, and replace with new one. Once again put iPhone connect to DC power supply and then power up, the boot current displays normally, but iPhone still goes with no display. So, we suspected that this problem is caused by motherboard backlight circuit broke down.

3. Teardown the iPhone, take out the motherboard. Measuring the grounding resistance value of J4502 with multimeter, the data is normal, which shows that the backlight circuit is also normal.

4. Because the backlight signal is connected directly with backlight IC U3701, now we can judge that the backlight IC U3701 broke down.

5. Paint some BGA Paste Flux, take down the backlight IC with Hot Air Gun at 320 degrees. Now, we need to clean the tins, use soldering iron blow it first, and then use PCB Cleaner to clean it again.

6. Paint some BGA Paste Flux again, align the backlight IC in the correct position, and then solder it with hot air gun. Cooling the motherboard, and then use PCB Cleaner to clean it.

At last, assemble the iPhone well, and then turn on iPhone to test, the white Apple logo appears smoothly. The repairs end!
