How to repair iPhone 6s Plus stuck at Apple Logo endless reboot



Recently, Vipprog made a guide on the repair iPhone 6s Plus displays Apple logo after power on and then continuous reboot. This iPhone 6s Plus was broken once and repaired, but not working.

Firstly, root by iTunes, and it shown 4013 error code. It will display UDID information when using i4 software to root. Generally, the showing of Apple logo and reboot and reporting error code 4013 most because of the damage of NAND Flash IC. But this iPhone can show UDID information, so NAND FLASH IC is not likely to be damaged.

Second, disassemble the iPhone and found that motherboard has been fixed many times. CPU, EEPROM and USB chip are all be welded. First clean the remaining soldering paste and observe whether these welded places has any component dropping off under microscope. After making sure no component dropping off, replace the NAND Flash and root. But iPhone still reports error code 4013. The problem in CPU is less likely happen.

Third, according to repair experience, there is a same problem happens because of the short circuit of iPhone 6S power IC. Remove the baseband chip and iPhone displays white Apple logo and reboot later. Replace a new baseband power chip and everything becomes normal. After researching the iPhone working principles, we find iPhone 6S baseband chip communicate with CPU by PCIE bus. During the power on process, the PCIE bus will be initialized. Therefore, the improper work of baseband will lead to white Apple loge showing when power on.

Fourth, Find a normal iPhone 6S and reboot it. Measure the baseband power supply when it shows white Apple logo. The power supply exists already and the working condition for baseband has been satisfied. The baseband supply’s bitmap is shown in picture 1-1.

Fiveth, Root the faulty motherboard and measure the baseband power supply when the white Apple logo is showing. We find that PP_0V9_SMPS1 and PP_1V0_SMPS3’s power supply has been produced, while PP_1V225_SMPS2 and PP_1V85_SMPS4 has not. That suggests there is nothing wrong with baseband power. It is very likely that the baseband chip is empty soldered or damaged. The circuit diagram of baseband power supply is shown in picture 1-2.

Finally, Remove the baseband and measure the diode data of the circuit towards chip and CPU. The data is normal. Tin the baseband chip and weld it on motherboard. Root it and everything becomes normal. This iPhone 6s Plus has been repaired.

iPhone 6 plus keeps restarting? -- Fix error 9



There are some customers contact me that his iPhone could have booted, but when he straightening it with hand because of it was a litter curved, the iPhone 6 Plus turned into white screen and restarting automatically, it reports error code 9 when rooted. It makes him very distressed. Don’t worry, Vipprog have a guide about fix it

Firstly, enter system to test and iPhone will reboot after showing Apple logo. According to repairing experience, the problem of white screen is very likely to be caused by CPU, EEPROM chip and NandFlash. In addition, the customer has straightened the iPhone. We can conclude the empty solder or welding joints drop on CPU may cause the problem. Therefore,  re-weld the CPU.

Remove the CPU, we found a circuit towards chip disconnects, as shown in picture 1-1. Besides, the other circuit is not stable either, so place a jumper wire to the relevant pin of chip.

After wiring well, weld the wire to the pin of chip under stereo zoom microscope, as shown in picture 1-3.

After finishing the above steps, reweld CPU, as shown in picture1-4

Then the root goes on smoothly. Enter system and activate interface. The problem of iPhone 6 Plus is resolved and and back to normal work.

How to repair error 9 14 40 on iPhone 6



Recently, there are a lot people complain that their iPhone 6 can't be turn on and continuously restarts, it is seriously affected their daily use of the phone because of iPhone 6 not working. 

The phenomenon is that when you turn on your iPhone 6, the Apple logo arise and disappear and is has been circulating in this way. It really make you annoy, but you have no idea what to do. Now you can get rid of this troubled, because Vipprog have the solution to fix it.

  •  disassemble the LCD screen assemble by phone opening tools and then test the voltage of the battery with digital multimeter. After detection, the battery voltage is shown as 4.21V and the battery test signal voltage is 2.02V. So we can judge the battery is normal and keep going to find the real problems.
  •   fault detection for iPhone 6, put iPhone 6 connect the computer, try to restores by iTunes but is failed and occurred an unknown error, so we can know that the NAND flash or CPU is cracked.
  • carefully unload the iPhone 6 motherboard and fix it on the PCB Fixture Platform, then carefully remove the NAND flash chip from the motherboard.



  •  put the Nandtest fixture connect the computer and transfer the data from the old NAND flash to a new one, then reball the new NAND flash chip GBA.

Finally, reassemble the parts removed from the iPhone 6, and then connect the iPhone 6 to computer, now it can be restored by iTunes and it works well, the trouble of the iPhone 6 are be resolved.

Ways for iPhone 6 Plus no service and can't solved after dropping



Have you ever complain your iPhone 6P  has no service after dropping and has not been repaired well for several times and it does not show IMEI when dial *#06#. And does it make you feel annoy? If you are really facing this situation, now you can rid it of, because the Vipprog know how to fix it.

After detection, in “about iPhone” are IMEI, modem firmware, Wi-Fi address, Bluetooth and ICCID, as shown in picture 1-1.

There are several reasons as follows for no service.

  1.   there is no baseband (no IMEI and modem firmware). 
  2.    iPhone does not read the SIMcard (no ICCID). 
  3. there are some problems in RF circuit. 
  4.  If dropped iPhones displays no service, components pseudo soldering or open circuit may cause the problem.


Therefore, we can conclude that no-service trouble takes place in RF circuit. Use multimeter to measure several main test points, finding out the diode data of testing point PP3170_RF is lager than the normal one 0.406. The location of testing point PP3170_RF is shown in picture 1-2.

After checking the schematic diagram, testing point PP3170_RF is the clock signal RFFE1_CLK of RFFE bus input by baseband CPU, as shown in picture 1-61.

Checking the PCB circuit diagram bitmap and we can see RFFE1_CLK’s signal is sent to many chips. The components connected to RFFE1_CLK are shown in picture 1-4.

Removing these chips, we find many solder pads of these chips have dropped off from motherboard. Use repairing jump wire to connect these pins of dropped solder pads, as shown in picture 1-5. And then paint green UV Solder Resist and reweld those chips. Measure the diode data of testing point PP3170_RF and now the data becomes normal. Assemble motherboard to assembly and power on to enter the system. IPhone displays IMEI normally when dial*#06#.

Finally, screen top left corner shows China Unicom 4G network signal after inserting SIM card and dialing 10010 to test, the conversation is normal. The iPhone 6 plus is back to normal work.
